Paris is burning”, the Spring/Summer 2013 collection by the bright Lebanon fashion designer Ziad Ghanem pays homage to the cult of excess, luxury and opulence from the early Eighties, successfully depicting a Caravaggesque femininity, featuring craftsmanship – as the Damask brocades, created by the use of traditional weaving method called “Nawl”, coming from Zouk Mikael, the native town of Ziad -, suggestive constructions and vibrant colors.

Paris is burning”, la collezione primavera/estate 2013 del brillante designer libanese Ziad Ghanem rende omaggio al culto dell’ eccesso, lusso e opulenza degli anni Ottanta, ritraendo felicemente una femminilità caravaggesca di cui é protagonista l’ artigianalità – i broccati di Damasco, creati mediante l’ uso della tradizionale tecnica di tessitura denominata “Nawl” che proviene da Zouk Mikael, città natia di Ziad -, suggestive costruzioni e vibranti colori.
